Hearts head to Queen of the South in pre-season

Hearts will travel to Palmerston Park in July for a pre-season friendly against Queen of the South.

The teams will meet on Wednesday, July 11, in a 7.45pm kick-off just days before the start of the Betfred League Cup campaign.

Hearts plan to head to Germany for a pre-season training camp before that but will use the match against Gary Naysmith's side as preparation for the start of the League Cup.

Some of the Edinburgh club's new signings will be on show on the night. They have secured strikers Steven MacLean and Uche Ikpeazu on pre-contract agreements with more new recruits to follow.

A deal to take the Inverness winger Jake Mulraney to Tynecastle is close to being finalised.
