That man could be Martin Jindracek. The 28-year-old has spent most of his career on the books at Teplice and arrives back at the club after a fruitful spell with Ustí nad Labem.

It remains to be seen whether Hearts can negotiate an early release for Vanecek before the deadline passes at midnight.

Meanwhile, Hearts have agreed a deal with St Mirren to send Ryan Edwards out on loan for the duration of the 2018/19 season.
