Hearts release exclusive documentary on their academy talent

Hearts have paid tribute to the work done behind the scenes at the club's academy and the progression of so many players to the first-team squad.

In an exclusive in-depth 20-minute documentary on the club’s official website key figures at the club are interviewed, including the players themselves, such as Harry Cochrane, Jamie Brandon and Anthony McDonald.

Footage shows the players carrying out their daily duties such as washing boots, pumping up balls and collecting kit at the Oriam where the club are based.

One of the key facets of the club since being taken over by Ann Budge is the development of youth. In the final game of the season away to Kilmarnock 11 teenagers were in the 18-man squad.

In the 2017/2018 season there were debuts handed to nine teenagers, with the 4,826 minutes played by the teens more than any other team in a European top flight. Six players played for the team aged 16.
