Hannover 96 fans have paid tribute to legendary club figure Jorg Sievers, who left the club to join Hearts at the tail end of last year.

The 54-year-old, who teamed up with Daniel Stendel at Tynecastle after three decades in Lower Saxony, is revered by Reds fans for his service as a player and coach at the Niedersachsenstadion, having made a club record 384 league appearances.

Sievers' two penalty saves in the 1992 German Cup final sealed victory for the then second-tier Hannover 96 over Borussia Monchengladbach - their sole win to date, and the only time the trophy has been lifted by a team outwith the country's top flight.

The Hearts No.2, who is affectionately known as "Colt" by Hannover fans owing to the similarity between his name and that of Colt Seavers, main character of 1980s TV show The Fall Guy, was given a final send-off with an image of him holding the DFB Cup backed by a black, white and green background and the words: "30 years - Thank you, Colt!"
