Hearts captain Alim Ozturk made his comeback as a second-half substitute in a 3-0 Development League win over Dundee at Ochilview.

Ozturk, out of action since September following hernia surgery, came on in the 63rd minute and strolled through the remainder of the match.

The young Jambos, who chalked up their biggest league win of the campaign. took the lead on seven minutes. A Dario Zanatta shot rebounded from a post and Lewis Moore’s cross was knocked home by Robbie Buchanan.

On 24 minutes, Zanatta had a close-range flick scrambled off the line but, two minutes later, he scored a brilliant goal, cutting in along the left byline before scoring with a fine, angled shot. Hearts rounded off the scoring when Angus Beith, another player recently back in action following a hip operation, added a third goal with a 25-yard shot on 77 minutes.

Hearts: Gallacher, Morrison, Baur, Jones (Ozturk 63), L Henderson, Moore, McKirdy, Beith (Flanagan 84), Zanatta (McLean 70), Buchanan, I Smith. Unused subs: Fisher, Baxter.
