BIG Hearts Community Trust is planning to enter a team of more than 200 footsoldiers in this year’s Kiltwalk Edinburgh in order to raise funds for Scotland’s children’s charities.
Chairman Jim Panton said: “Given the changes taking place at Big Hearts, the funds raised will be of great importance as we support families within our community.”
Leaving Murrayfield Stadium on Sunday, May 3, the Kiltwalk is expecting thousands of people to turn out in their kilts to take part.
Big Hearts Community Trust will receive 75 per cent of all funds raised by their group, with the rest being divided between Kiltwalk Edinburgh’s charity partners.
Walkers can chose between the 26-mile Full Walk for everyone over 13 years-old, a Half Walk for everyone over the age of 10 and a six-mile Wee Walk, starting in Cramond, which is open to anyone.
