The 30-year-old Kilmarnock defender appeared to land awkwardly following an aerial duel with Hibs striker Christian Doidge during the first half of the Premiership match, which Hibs won 1-0.

Dikamona, who became a fans favourite during his two-year spell at Tynecastle, was clearly in agony after falling on the artificial turf.

He was stretchered off and taken to hospital, with Killie boss Alex Dyer confirming that they expect a significant spell on the sidelines for him.

Dikamona joined Kilmarnock this summer following his release from Hearts. The Congolese had just started to break into the first team and was making his second successive start for the Ayrshire outfit.
