Robbie Neilson admitted today he is keen to see recovered Hearts players Prince Buaben, Neil Alexander and Billy King back in action after surgery.
The Edinburgh club play their first pre-season friendly against Bohemian in Dublin on Wednesday and Neilson will give game time to as many players as possible.
Buaben, Alexander and King are fit again after missing the end of last season because of respective operations. Buaben underwent foot surgery, Alexander had an operation on his finger, whilst King went under the knife to cure an ankle complaint. All three recovered during the close season to ensure they could begin pre-season training. Neilson now wants to see them, plus new signings like Juanma, Blazej Augustyn and Gavin Reilly, in action when Hearts travel to Ireland this week.
“It will be good to get Buaben, Alexander and King back after their injuries and have them available again.
“We’re looking to get everyone back and ready for the games coming up,” the head coach told the Evening News.
“It’s been a long break and we’re getting prepared now. I think it’s been quite a long break because the players have had nearly seven weeks off, which is quite a long time.
“I’m sure they’ll all be desperate to get back in again and get going.
“We want to try and keep the momentum going from last year.”
