Following the 1-0 win over Inverness CT on Tuesday night in the team’s return to competitive action, manager Robbie Neilson confirmed he would make changes to the starting XI as they build towards the opening league fixture against Dundee a week today. It is a game which will be the club’s fourth in 11 days.
Neilson also revealed it would be a strong team as they aim to win, qualify from the group and build momentum.
With that in mind, we have taken a look at what could be the starting XI with a few changes from the win against ICT.
1. GK - Craig Gordon
The No.1 reminded everyone of his quality during the week with a fabulous point-blank save early in the match with ICT. Photo: Ross Parker - SNS Group
2. RB - Jamie Brandon
With Michael Smith still on international duty it gives Brandon more minutes on the field alongside Craig Halkett with the likelihood of featuring regularly throughout the season in the Northern Ireland international’s absence. Photo: Ross Parker - SNS Group
3. CB - Craig Halkett

4. CB - Mihai Popescu
Still building towards match sharpness which showed at times against ICT but more minutes will allow him to build on the partnership with Halkett. Photo: Ross Parker - SNS Group
