HEARTS hope to sign Dundee striker Craig Wighton before the transfer window closes on Monday night.
The Edinburgh club are pursuing the 18-year-old’s signature and see him as a player they can develop for the future.
Wighton gained first-team experience on loan at Brechin City last season and Raith Rovers earlier this season. Hearts want to bring him to Tynecastle on a permanent contract.
Head coach Robbie Neilson has openly stated he is in the market for a mobile striker and Wighton would fit the bill. It remains to be seen if Hearts and Dundee can agree a deal for the player, who has represented Scotland at under-15, under-16 and under-17 level.
