Hearts players overlooked for Championship player of the year as Dundee star given award
The SPFL have revealed the Championship player of the year and it is not a Hearts star.
The Tynecastle side eased to the second tier title, winning it by 12 points across the truncated 27-game campaign.
In Craig Gordon and Liam Boyce, Robbie Neilson had two players who were consistently excellent across the season.
The duo were viewed by the club's fans as the best in the team and in the division.
However, Dundee's Charlie Adam won the award for the SPFL Championship player of the year.
The former Liverpool and Blackpool midfielder helped his boyhood club back into the Premiership via the play-offs where he displayed his ability.
In the first-leg play-off semi-final clash at Raith Rovers he delivered two pinpoint assists for former Hearts player Jordan McGhee.
One of his eight goals this campaign came against Hearts in the 6-2 defeat at Tynecastle on the opening day of the Championship season.
