Hearts have rejected another offer from Rangers for winger Jamie Walker believed to be in the region of £600,000.
The Evening News has learned that Ibrox officials returned as predicted with another bid after their £500,000 proposal was rejected by Hearts earlier this week.
The Edinburgh club have again refused Rangers’ advances and are determined not to sell Walker for less than £1million.
The 23-year-old’s contract runs until summer 2018 but he has told Hearts he won’t sign an extension. That means the club will listen to offers but Rangers’ attempts to lure the player to Glasgow have so far been met with strong resistance.
Hearts told their Ibrox counterparts that they are way short with their valuation of Walker as they dismissed the suggestion of a £600,000 transfer fee.
