HEARTS winger Jamie Walker underwent knee surgery today and will be out for at least another three weeks.
The player travelled to Bradford for a tidy-up operation aimed at curing an injury which has already kept him out for two months.
Club officials sent the 22-year-old to see a specialist to remove a small section of bone which had been causing discomfort. It is hoped he will recuperate quickly and be fit to return to the Hearts team before the end of January, but his recovery will not be rushed.
Medical staff at Riccarton had hoped rest would be sufficient to cure the injury, which dates back to Walker’s childhood. However, with the player still in pain, it was decided an operation was the best option.
