He last refereed a Hibs-Hearts match in December 2018, when Olly Lee's goal gave the visitors victory at Easter Road.

David Roome and Calum Spence will be the referee's assistants and Bobby Madden is the fourth official. The match is to be broadcast live on BT Sport and kicks off at 7.45pm.

Daniel Stendel's side are unbeaten in two years at the home of their city rivals but will want revenge after losing the last derby at Tynecastle in December.

Both teams are seeking points for different reasons - Hibs hope to mount a late quest for a European place and Hearts are fighting to avoid relegation.
