The Tynecastle side have had a habit of responding with a win anytime they have been defeated in cup competitions or failed to win in league games. Yet, they were unable to do so for the first time this campaign following last week’s 1-1 draw with Queen of the South.
Robbie Neilson’s men started positively and went close to scoring early on through Aaron McEneff who was starting his first match for the club but failed to capitalise on their dominance. The visitors took the lead in the second half with a fine Craig McGuffie striker.
It was left to Jamie Walker to save a point with his 50th goal for the club, heading in an Armand Gnanduillet cross. The league leaders couldn’t muster a winner before the end much to the disappointment of fans watching from home.
