FORMER Hearts manager John McGlynn has returned to football as manager of Livingston following the departure of Richie Burke.

Burke was appointed in March to replace Gareth Evans as manager but leaves his job with Livi bottom of the league table having taken just one point from their opening four league games.

McGlynn was sacked by Hearts at the end of February and had been unemployed since. After enjoying relative success in the same league with Raith Rovers before moving to Tynecastle, his experience in that environment made him an attractive prospect for Livingston.

McGlynn’s first match sees his new charges host Morton tomorrow.
