The Inverness boss and Jambos legend knew the Lithuanian from his time at Tynecastle and felt it was right to pay his respects to the ex-Hearts captain, who tragically passed away last weekend after a battle with motor neurone disease.

A number of scarves, flags and tributes are currently outside the Main Stand at Tynecastle and Robertson added his own tribute.

"I knew Marius very, very well and it's a tragedy,” said Robertson. “To hear the news last Saturday, it knocked me for six. He was a young man, only 36-years-old, his wife, his children ... it just didn't feel right, so the club put down a wreath.

"It's just so sad. He was a wonderful guy. Wicked sense of humour, really wicked sense of humour. He will be sadly missed."
