HEARTS defender Kevin McHattie has left the club by mutual consent and has signed for Kilmarnock on a three-year deal.
The left back, 22, was today released from his Tynecastle contract and he has now joined up with old Hearts boss Gary Locke at Rugby Park.
McHattie made more than 80 first-team appearances for Hearts but has been restricted to just three appearances this season – two of those in the League Cup – following the arrival of Nigerian World Cup star Juwon Oshaniwa.
He said: “I’ve loved every minute at Hearts, it’s been fantastic. I’ll leave with some great memories, not least winning the title last year. I’ll miss this place, no doubt about that.”
Young forward Gary Oliver, meanwhile, has joined Queen of the South for an undisclosed fee after making 25 first-team appearances for Hearts.
