Former Hearts striker Tony Watt stated that Hibs are the "second team" in Edinburgh after an old Tynecastle team-mate pledged allegiance to the green half of the city ahead of the Boxing Day derby.

Faycal Rherras has played for each of the Edinburgh clubs during his career. Signed by Robbie Neilson, the full-back spent a season at Hearts before moving on in the summer of 2017.

On Christmas Day he tweeted: "All the best for @HibernianFC tomorrow."

Watt then responded: "Non mon ami! Pas pour moi. Ils sont le deuxieme equipe à Edinburgh."

This translates as: "No my friend! Not for me. They are the second team in Edinburgh."

Watt played alongside Rherras during a six-month loan spell for the striker in Gorgie.
