The last time Hearts manged that feat was over 20 years ago - in the 1996/97 season. A 3-1 win in September was followed by an emphatic 4-0 New Year derby victory. But what happened to the squad involved?

Left-back who played more than 100 games for Hearts before sealing move to Everton. Had spells with Sheffield United, Huddersfield, Aberdeen and East Fife, whom he later managed. Now boss at Queen of the South
Versatile midfielder who spent his entire career in Italy barring three years at Hearts. Played for AC Milan, Fiorentina and Atalanta. Hung up his boots in 2002 but sadly died in October 2017 from cancer.
Had two spells with Hearts in 20-year career as well as turning out for Dundee, Rangers, Southampton and Falkirk. Had spell managing Dundee and now does media work.
Scored derby debut double in January win. Had spells with Dundee, Hearts, Dundee United, Motherwell, Dunfermline and St Mirren among others. Worked for Total after retiring from football.

Nine-times capped Welsh midfielder. Spent 13 years at Norwich before brief spells with Hearts, Colchester and King's Lynn. Now works for Norfolk and Norwich Association of the Blind.
Defender capped 27 times for Scotland. Two spells each at Rangers and Hearts before stints at Carlton in Australia and Morton, who he later managed briefly. Now working in sports management.
