Don Robertson will take charge of Thursday's Edinburgh derby after the Scottish FA released their refereeing appointments for the final two rounds of fixtures in 2019.

The whistler will oversee a Hearts and Hibs encounter at first-team level for the first time in his career.

Hearts last encountered Robertson in their 5-0 defeat at Ibrox earlier this month, while Hibs earned a 1-1 draw at Aberdeen back in October.

The match at Tynecastle on Boxing Day will be the first meeting between Hearts boss Daniel Stendel and Hibs manager Jack Ross after the pair were hired to improve the fortunes at each of Edinburgh's top flight clubs.

After hosting their nearest rivals, Hearts will then welcome Aberdeen to Gorgie on Sunday. Alan Muir has been appointed official of that game.

Hibs round out the year with trip to Livingston. Euan Anderson has been named as the official for that encounter.
