Where are they now? The Hearts team that defeated Motherwell 6-0 five years ago tomorrow

Five years ago tomorrow, Robbie Neilson’s men hosted Motherwell in the Scottish Premiership.

The Tynecastle side went into the match is pretty good form having been undefeated in five games and fresh off defeating Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup. However, nobody inside the ground was quite prepared for what was to occur on that January night.

The home side flew out of the traps and were a goal ahead inside 11 minutes through Igor Rossi. Osman Sow added to the scoring five minutes later and the game was effectively killed off as a contest before a quarter of it had been played when Gavin Reilly struck from the penalty spot.

For a while it looked like that was going to be it, but Hearts burst into life again in the final 15 minutes. Callum Paterson made it 4-0 before Juanma came off the bench to add a fifth. Arnaud Djoum then completed the scoring from the penalty spot.

It is a fond match and a fond team to look back on. We’ve looked at what each of the men of the maroon that day are doing with themselves now...
