Heriot-Watt University 1 - 1 Tynecastle: Ronnie Napier nets Watt draw

RICKY Burke came close to giving the Watt the lead in the 20th minute with a mazy run and shot, but Jamie Newman saved with his right foot.

Five minutes later Tynecastle went ahead when a penalty was awarded for a tug on Ousman See and Jamie Butler fired the spot kick past Blair Carswell. The lively Elliot Lister came close to doubling Tynie’s lead with a shot which was deflected just past the post, but Watt should have equalised in the last minute of the half when Chris Donnelly shinned Aaron James’s centre over the bar from close range.

Watt did level the scores five minutes after the break when Ronnie Napier nudged Sean Muhsin’s free kick into the corner of the net. The home side was on top in the closing stages but couldn’t find a way past Newman, who, in one frantic spell of action in the Tynecastle goalmouth, threw up an arm to save Donnelly’s shot whilst
lying on the ground.
