The League and Scottish Cup holders will now use the Capital venue’s 5G surface having made the switch from Broxburn Athletic’s Albyn Park during the off-season.

And, they made the perfect start at their new home having thrashed Aberdeen Ladies 6-0 last weekend to take top spot in SWPL 1.

Ahead of tomorrow’s League Cup quarter-final clash with Rangers at Spartans’ ground (4pm kick-off), Hunter said: “The pitch really suits us as it’s nice and wide and we’ve got some really fast players in the
team. It’s also good to be back in Edinburgh again as hopefully that can bring a few more fans out.

“The main priority will always be the league. But we want to keep the cups we won last season as well.

“It will be a tough ask but I feel we have the squad to do it so I’m expecting a good year. We’ve had a great start but we just need to make sure we keep doing our jobs.

“The squad isn’t too different from last year and the good thing is we have players there who know what it takes to win things.

“Bringing in Amy [Gallacher] has been a really good addition so that brings extra competition to the squad.”

Elsewhere in cup quarter-final action tomorrow, Spartans Women host Aberdeen Ladies at Ainslie Park (1pm kick-off) whilst SPFL 2 side Hearts visit top-flight outfit Celtic.
