Hide AdHunter stepped up to curl a wonderful effort past City ‘keeper Lee Anderson from 40 yards out to put Kevin Milne’s side 2-0 up as Hibs completed a cup double for the second consecutive year.
And now Hunter’s free-kick is up against seven other similarly impressive efforts in the Women’s Soccer United (WSU) Goal of the Month for November.
She faces stiff competition from the likes of Reading Women’s Fara Williams, capped 162 times for England, fellow Scot Claire Emslie of Manchester City Women’s FC and Spain international midfielder Virginia Torrecilla.
According to WSU, the standard of goals scored throughout the month of November was such that they “had to narrow the nominees down to eight” rather than the usual five or six.
