FORMER Hibs midfielder Jorge Claros helped Honduras begin their Gold Cup campaign with a 2-0 win over Haiti early this morning at the Red Bull Arena, Harrison, United States.

Claros, whose loan from Motagua to Hibs expired at the end of last season, played the whole match in centre midfield for the Central
American side.

Honduras took the lead in the fourth minute with Rony Martinez firing home, before making sure of the win with 12 minutes remaining when Marvin Chavez added a second.

El Salvador and Trinidad and Tobago drew 2-2 in the other Group B match.
