Hibernian Development Squad secured a fifth-place finish in the SPFL Development League after a 1-1 draw with champions Aberdeen.
The visitors opened the scoring through Kalvin Orsi, but Conner Duthie levelled from the spot in the first half.
The second half saw the game fizzle out to a stalemate, Falkirk’s 3-0 victory at Inverness not enough to see them leapfrog Joe McBride’s team on goal difference.
The swirling wind at Ainslie Park made it difficult for both sides, Sean Brennan and Kevin Waugh almost gifted Orsi a goal within a minute, but the forward hit his effort wide of the open goal.
Aberdeen continued to boss the game and Michael Rose thumped a spectacular effort off the underside of the bar, and a minute later the young Dons had the lead. With 11 minutes gone, Orsi opened the scoring with a clever finish beyond Brennan and it was no more than the visitors deserved.
Rose and Aaron Norris both hit shots over the bar before Hibs fought back into the game.
Lewis Allan received a headed pass from Taylor Hendry, but the forward was unable to direct his shot beyond Robbie Mutch.
Hibs got the equaliser before the break, a sweeping counter-attack which started in their own box, ended with Jordan Sinclair being hauled down. Duthie stepped up and sent Mutch the wrong way two minutes before half-time. The second half fizzled out, Jordan McGregor and Allan both came closest with efforts for the hosts as the league campaign drew to a close.
