FORMER Hibs striker Garry O’Connor is set to make a shock comeback with Lowland League club Selkirk.
O’Connor – capped 16 times for Scotland – has been without a club since a disappointing spell with Morton last season.
Selkirk, who finished bottom of the Lowland League last season, have bolstered their squad with a number of French imports, but the signing of O’Connor would be a major coup.
The club say O’Connor will be in attendance for the friendly match against a Hibs XI at Yarrow Park this evening (kick-off 6.45pm).
Selkirk’s league season kicks off on Saturday with a home match against Threave Rovers.
