Grant Scott will take temporary charge of Hibs Ladies for the first time this weekend following the sudden departure of Kevin Milne.

The former Hearts Women’s boss will be in the dugout for the SWPL 1 top-of-the-table clash when Glasgow City are the visitors to Ainslie Park tomorrow.

Milne’s departure three weeks ago came just 24 hours after the Hibees had booked their place in the SWPL Cup semi-finals with a 1-0 victory over Rangers.

However, Scott insists it is important his players focus on something that they failed to do last season in the league – and take points off of City.

“We expect another tough battle with Glasgow City and another tight match with both sides having 100 per cent records so far this season,” Scott said.

“Even this early in the campaign we are fully aware of the importance of the match in the context of our ambitions for the season but fortunately we have a talented group of players with belief, ability and determination which we believe will serve us well, produce the right performance and outcome.

“After the shock resignation of Kevin, the players have refocused very quickly and will be fully prepared going into tomorrow’s match.”

Elsewhere, Spartans Woman travel to newly-promoted Forfar Farmington.

Paul Greig’s side could leapfrog their opponents into sixth if they pick up maximum points.

Meanwhile in SWPL 2, Hearts welcome Central Girls Football Academy to King’s Park, Dalkeith, and Edinburgh University Hutchison Vale visit Aberdeen.
