This week was meant to be about the build-up to the Edinburgh derby Scottish Cup semi-final.

Mount Florida was set to be decked out in maroon and green on Saturday as thousands of Hearts and Hibs fans made their way along the M8 for another Hampden Park clash between the old foes for a place in the Scottish Cup final.

Yet, a worldwide health pandemic intervened and supporters are none the wiser when they will see their team in action again, let alone whether they will get to see the Capital derby in Glasgow.

The Scottish FA have decided that “in the absence of this weekend's @WilliamHill Scottish Cup matches” they will show key semi-finals from the past decade with Hearts and Hibs heavily involved.

Fans of the Easter Road side can see, in full, two recent last four clashes with Aberdeen.

On Wednesday, Hibees can go back to 2012 to see Pat Fenlon’s side reach the final with Leigh Griffiths netting a late winner. A few days later, on Sunday it is a re-run of the 2017 semi-final. A fantastic topsy turvy encounter where Hibs roared back from going 2-0 in the first 25 minutes to draw level as a Championship side before a cruel, late own goal prevented the side from reaching another Scottish Cup final.

Hearts fans are treated to two winning last-four matches. The first, on Tuesday, is last year’s win over Inverness CT to book their place in the final against Celtic. But the one which is of more interest to Jam Tarts supporters is the 2012 semi-final against Celtic on Thursday. It is an iconic match with Rudi Skacel netting for Paulo Sergio’s side before Craig Beatties famous winning penalty late on and celebration.
