Hibs were made to work for their 3-1 victory against Brora Rangers after a valiant effort from the Highland League outfit.

The hosts could have, and should have, been out of sight by half-time but only had Stevie Mallan’s quickfire double to show for their dominance.

And when Dale Gillespie cracked home a fine free kick with around half an hour remaining, the Sutherland side may have sensed a bit of an upset.

As it wsa, Hibs continued to pour forwards with Joe Malin saving from Jamie Gullan, David Gray, and Darren McGregor, and Paul Hanlon wrapped up the win with a header at the death.
