Hibs allow goalkeeper to stay on loan in League Two for remainder of 2020-21 season

Stenhousemuir will retain Paddy Martin’s services after Hibs allowed the goalkeeper to remain on loan at Ochilview for the rest of the season.

The goalkeeper’s position at Easter Road has been a dilemma for Jack Ross in recent days with Ofir Marciano’s injury and his under-study, Dillon Barnes, cutting short his loan deal and heading back to Queen’s Park Rangers.

Coach Craig Samson and rookie teenager Murray Johnston were among the limited options left between the sticks for Jack Ross, but his latest squad re-shuffle will allow Martin to remain on loan at the League Two Warriors for the remainder of the season.

The 21-year-old has featured eight times for Davie Irons’ side this season, replacing former Rangers, Motherwell and Hibs goalie Graeme Smith who has been ruled out of action for the rest of the season.

After losing Barnes and Marciano, Hibs recalled Kevin Dabrowski from his loan at League One Dumbarton and lined up a move for Arsenal goalkeeper Matt Macey.
