Hibs Ladies will need to win their final Champions League Group 2 fixture on Monday evening to guarantee their qualification for the last 32 of the competition.
The Hibees fought back to secure a 1-1 draw against Ukrainian champions WFC Kharkiv in Cluj, Romania, yesterday, Lucy Graham netting in the 80th minute to cancel out Yana Malakhova’s first-half opener.
Chris Roberts’ side got their campaign off to a flyer on Tuesday with a 5-0 win over Swansea City meaning Hibs have four points from their opening two games.
However, hosts Olimpia Cluj, who the Capital side meet in their final group fixture on Monday night, sit top of Group 2 on six points having beaten both Kharkiv and Swansea.
But victory for Hibs at the Cluj Arena would see them through to the Round of 32 as group winners.
The Scottish and League Cup holders could still qualify with the best runners-up record (from ten groups) should they fail to win.
Meanwhile, Spartans Women return to SWPL 1 duty tomorrow as they host Hamilton Accies at Ainslie Park (kick-off 1pm).
And in SWPL 2, Edinburgh University Hutchison Vale welcome city rivals Hearts to Peffermill. A win for the home side could move Tom Connor’s outfit within three points of the fourth-placed Jambos.
