Hibs have rejected a bid of £1 million from English League One club Peterborough for striker Jason Cummings.
The 21-year-old was the subject of intense speculation over the summer as he headed into the final year of his contract but only a few weeks ago he agreed a new deal tying him to the Capital club until the summer of 2020.
Cummings has scored 43 goals in 109 first-team appearances since making his Hibs debut in 2013.
The Easter Road outfit, however, have declined to comment on the matter with reports suggesting the offer could be worth considerably more with “add ons.”
Peterborough pulled in a reported £500,000 only two days ago when they sold winger Jon Taylor to former Hibs boss Alan Stubbs’ new club Rotherham United.
