Hibs 'in talks with Aberdeen' over potential Saturday evening kick-off

Hibs have been in discussions with Aberdeen about moving the kick-off of the next meeting between the clubs to a Saturday evening, the Scottish Sun has reported.

The match is currently scheduled to take place at Pittodrie with a 3pm kick-off on March 7.

But new Aberdeen chairman Dave Cormack is said to be pushing for a later time slot.

The American-based businessman wants to grow the club's profile across the Atlantic, and later starts would make it easier for football fans to watch Aberdeen games across the pond.

He has also previously insisted that Scottish attendances would benefit from later Saturday kick-off times, as it would enable amateur and youth footballers to attend SPFL matches after their own games have finished.

Hibs are said to be giving serious consideration to the proposal to push the game back to 6.30pm.
