HIBS look set to miss out on summer transfer target Gregg Wylde with Aberdeen now favourites to capture the 
winger’s signature.

Motherwell are also in the frame but Wylde is due to meet the Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes next week.

Wylde, 22, left the English Championship club Bolton Wanderers at the end of last season and is keen on returning to Scotland, where he first emerged at Rangers as a promising teenager.

Aberdeen are favourites to bring him north for next season after the player rejected interest from Carlisle United and the French club Nantes. Hibs and Motherwell had made the interest known but Pittodrie is his most likely destination with talks planned.

Hibs had been tracking Wylde since January, when manager Pat Fenlon tried to sign him 
following a loan spell with Bury.
