A Hibs XI containing first-team players Jordon Forster and Otso Virtanen ran out comfortable 3-1 winners away to Tranent Juniors.
Under the watchful eye of Easter Road boss Neil Lennon, Hibs dominated the opening period against their East Region Premier League hosts and were 3-0 ahead by half time.
They took the lead via an own goal from Chris Wood on eight minutes and by the 17th minute they were 2-0 up after Aaron Dunsmore converted a penalty. Jamie Gulland then made it 3-0 just before the interval.
Tranent, with former Hibee Kevin Thomson as an unused sub, pulled a goal back in style on 70 minutes when Joe Murray looked set to make a cross, but caught Virtanen unaware as he flashed the ball home.
