Ofir Marciano - 4

The Israeli gifted Rangers the initiative when he allowed a routine clearance to be charged down by Joe Aribo in his six-yard box. A couple of saves later on but the damage was done.

Jason Naismith - 5

A tough night for the full-back who spent a lot of the night chasing shadows. Booked before the break. Unable to get forward much.

Ryan Porteous - 4

Allowed Defoe to get a shot away for Rangers' third and then let himself and his team down with a rash tackle on Borna Barisic that brought a deserved red card.

Paul Hanlon - 5

Not the centre-back's most assured evening. Given a torrid time by the Rangers attackers.

Lewis Stevenson - 5

Found the going tough against Aribo, particularly before the break. Booked late in first half. Stuck to his task in second half.

Melker Hallberg - 5

The Swede was unable to do much to stem the flow of Rangers attacks. Booked early in second half.

Stevie Mallan - 5

The midfielder threatened with two strikes from outside the box but otherwise toiled to make any impact. Subbed at half-time as Jack Ross tweaked the formation.

Martin Boyle - 6

Hibs' brightest player on the night. Had a couple of dangerous runs and was unfortunate to see a low first-half strike tipped behind by Allan McGregor.

Scott Allan - 5

Not the midfielder's night. Struggled to get on the ball and whenever he did, nothing came off. Sacrificed after Porteous red card as Ross had to put defender Darren McGregor on.

Christian Doidge - 5

A tough night for the striker who showed plenty effort but got no change out of Rangers' centre-backs. One good first-half flick to set up Boyle. Most notable moment was bundling Allan McGregor into the advertising boards late on.

Florian Kamberi - 5

The Swiss looked in the mood early on and had a few threatening moments but nothing came off for him. Sacrificed at half-time as Ross changed to 4-2-3-1.

Hibs subs:

Daryl Horgan - 6

On at half-time and helped spark a decent start to second half for Hibs. Had a few sporadic moments of promise.

Vykintas Slivka - 5

On at half-time and played at base of midfield alongside Hallberg as Rangers bossed most of second half.

Darren McGregor - 6

On for his first appearance since August and could take some solace from the fact Hibs didn't concede in his 26 minutes on the pitch.
