Hibs legend Derek Riordan branded Jason Cummings a “kid on Rangers fan” following a post on social media.

The Shrewsbury Town striker posted a message on Instagram aiming a jibe at Celtic.

Former Hibs star Cummings shared a picture of himself with his dog Carlos with a message from a famous scene in the Lion King.

It read: "Everything the light touches is our kingdom. A king's time as ruler rises and falls like the sun.

"One day, Carlos, the sun will set on my time here and will rise with you as the new king.

"Carlos: but what's that shadowy place over there?

"That's Celtic Park son you must never go there.”

Cummings spent half a season at Rangers, scoring six goals in 18 games.

It prompted Riordan to reply: “Kid on Rangers fan again.”

While current Hibs striker Marc McNulty advised him to “stay off the booze bro”.

Cummings has been entertaining fans on his social media accounts during the lockdown, including a video of himself acting out a scene from Coming to America.

The 24-year-old joined Shrewsbury in September and hit the headlines scoring a double in a 2-2 draw with Liverpool in the FA Cup.
