1 2 Jack Ross raised more than a few eyebrows and probably opened Christian Doidge up to some dressing room banter from his team-mates when he compared the Hibs striker to Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski. But while Doidge will probably never play in the Bundesliga, the former Forest Green Rovers’ player is proving every bit as valuable to the Easter Road side as the big Pole is for Bayern at the moment having got on the scoresheet for the fourth game in succession even if he was aided by some lamentable goalkeeping from Killie’s Laurentu Branescu.

3 Vykintas Slivka struggled to make himself a first team regular when he first arrived in Edinburgh, the Lithuanian internationalist overshadowed somewhat by the presence of John McGinn and Dylan McGeouch. Undoubtedly talented - you aren’t signed by the likes of Juventus if you aren’t - the midfielder is enjoying his current run in the team, displaying a confidence to take the ball in tight areas, and a happy knack of regaining possession with the deftest of touches.
