Hibs need only one point from Monday night’s clash to condemn the Pars to the drop following their hard-fought but deserved victory over Aberdeen.
A large crowd is expected for Hibs’ last home match of the season and is likely to be boosted by the revelation that Hibs are making 1000 Scottish Cup tickets available in a ballot for walk-up supporters on the night.
Fans are being advised to keep their ticket stubs – admission prices have been dropped to £20 and £10 for concessions – as their seat number will be entered into the draw.
The draw will be made the following day by supporter representatives, with 500 lucky fans winning the right to buy two cup final tickets. They will then have until 5pm on Thursday to present their ticket stub from the Pars match to make their claim.
Although, with a five point advantage and only two games to play, Hibs’ place in the top flight of Scottish football looks assured, Hanlon revealed that none of Fenlon’s players is taking anything for granted, well aware Jim Jefferies’ side will arrive in the Capital determined to take the three points which will keep their hopes of survival alive. The Scotland Under-21 skipper said: “The pressure is on Dunfermline, they know they need to win and I am sure they will throw everything at us.
“But we’ll be looking to win as well, there’s no way we’ll be going into the match simply trying to get one point. It’s been a disappointing season, but the fans have been right behind us. The travelling support at Aberdeen the other night was brilliant and I am sure that with that win, there will be a big crowd at Easter Road on Monday night.
“Unfortunately we’ve only had one league win at home this season. It’s a dismal statistic but one we cannot get away from.
“There would be no better time to get another win at Easter Road. It would be great to see as many supporters there as possible, getting right behind us and helping make the ground even an even more intimidating place for Dunfermline.”
Supporters who have already bought tickets for Monday’s match will be contacted regarding a refund.
