Scottish Cup draw: Hibs and Hearts to meet at Easter Road for fourth round derby clash

Hibs and Hearts were thrown together again when the draw for the fourth round of this season’s William Hill Scottish Cup was made at Hampden this afternoon, giving the Easter Road outfit an immediate chance for revenge after their humiliating 5-1 hammering by their Capital rivals in last season’s final.

Pat Fenlon’s side will enjoy home advantage in the tie of the round, which features three all SPL encounters, with the tie due to be played on December 1 or 2 as the SPL clubs join the rest in the competition, the others being Aberdeen v Motherwell and Ross County v Inverness Caley.

The two Edinburgh clubs shared a 1-1 draw in their first encounter following May’s Hampden showdown, Andy Driver opening the scoring for the Jambos while Leigh Griffiths claimed the first of 11 goals so far this season as he equalised for the Hibees before half-time.
