The 22-year-old hasn’t been listed for the last three fixtures after being involved in the matchday squad for the first eight games of the league campaign, making two appearances off the bench in the 2-2 draw with Rangers at Easter Road and the 1-0 defeat by St Mirren in Paisley.

A hamstring strain has forced Miller onto the sidelines in recent weeks, joining the likes of Momodou Bojang, Jake Doyle-Hayes, Aiden McGeady and Kevin Nisbet.

His absence on Saturday saw midfielder Josh Campbell deployed as an auxiliary right-wingback for the second half of the 6-1 defeat by Celtic at Parkhead in place of Chris Cadden, who was withdrawn at the interval.

The former Central Coast Mariners full-back hasn’t been able to train but it is hoped that he will be available for selection again soon. Hibs are starting to get over the worst of their injury worries with Rocky Bushiri and Demetri Mitchell both making a return to action as second-half substitutes against Celtic.

Mitchell’s return after looking ‘razor sharp’ in training will give manager Lee Johnson further options in the attacking third while the Belgian’s availability means Hibs now have a full complement of centre-backs to choose from, with Will Fish also pushing club captain Paul Hanlon and Scotland internationalist Ryan Porteous for a starting berth.

Bushiri’s comeback should also mean less reliance on veteran player-coach Darren McGregor. The 37-year-old was an unused substitute for every league game up until the defeat by Ange Postecoglou’s side at the weekend.
