The long-serving defender, 33, passed the milestone when he came on as a half-time substitute in the 1-1 draw with Celtic last week, having made his debut for the Easter Road side during the 2005/06 season.

The bespoke shirt, made by kit supplier Macron, pays tribute to Stevenson’s team-mates from his two cup wins with Hibs – the League Cup success in 2007 and Scottish Cup triumph in 2016 - by including their names in the number 16 on the reverse of the shirt.

Graeme Cadger, chairman of the Hanlon Stevenson Foundation, said: “Thanks to Hibernian Clubstore for their assistance in delivering this project.

"We also thank Hibernian FC for allowing us to sell though Hibernian Direct without any costs. Last but not least thanks to the talented Owen Wright for designing the strip.”

Hibs' Head of Marketing & Brand Partnership Greg McEwan added: “We are happy to support this initiative and it’s a great way to honour Lewis’s 500 appearances.
