Michael Weir: Hibs need to aim higher than clean sheets against Ross County

Dingwall is always a difficult venue; it's a small pitch, and it's difficult to get going, but in saying that I thought early on in the game Hibs looked comfortable and would go on to win it but they didn't take their chances.

The game became a bit tougher as it went on as Ross County just sat behind the ball and made things difficult for Hibs but they have to overcome that.

They can't keep slipping up in these kind of games. These are the games Hibs need to be winning.

It's all well and good focusing on the clean sheet but at the end of the day they’ve got to win.

If it was a venue that they weren't expected to do too well at then it might be different but there's been a couple of slip-ups, and this is a game you'd be looking to win.

I think they'll be disappointed in the result and rightly so because they can't afford too many slip-ups at this stage. It was a really good chance to keep themselves right up there.

I understand that they're still unbeaten for a while - they've not lost too many games, but it’s disappointing not to get three points in Dingwall. I was really confident Hibs would go up there and win.

I don't think the international break had an effect, it's simply about taking chances.

If Hibs had gone in front I think they would have won the game comfortably but the chances all seemed to come at the one time and the longer the game went on, the more nervous they looked. A little bit more composure and they could have finished the game off.

When County went a man down, they made it a tougher game but early on Hibs needed to take their chances. When you don't take your chances, any game becomes difficult.

I don't like the thought of Hibs being delighted with a clean sheet. They have to set our sights higher than that. They have got to be winning at Ross County if they have any ambitions to be up there come the end of the season.

Hibs can't afford too many more slip-ups if they want to be challenging for a European spot.
