However, despite a series of chances in both halves and a man advantage for the last 15 minutes of the game, the visitors left with just a point to show for their efforts.

Jack Ross' side could have been two goals up in the opening quarter of an hour after Kyle Magennis hit the post and Martin Boyle squandered two good chances.

Kevin Nisbet also had an effort cleared off the line as County struggled to deal with Hibs’ sustained pressure.

However, the hosts had chances of their own and while they didn’t ever really test Ofir Marciano, they frustrated Hibs and will be the happier of the two teams with the result.
