Hibs hope to welcome Danny Swanson and Martin Boyle back into the match-day squad for Saturday’s Premiership trip to St Johnstone.
Swanson missed the 1-1 draw away to Dundee a week past Sunday after being struck down by a sickness bug. However, the 30-year-old, who started two of his team’s opening three league matches, has now recovered and in contention to face Saints, whom he represented to impressive effect for 18 months before moving to Easter Road in the summer.
Boyle, meanwhile, is back in training after missing the last three matches with ankle damage sustained in training after the 5-0 Betfred Cup win over Ayr United four weeks ago. Having sat out games against Rangers, Hamilton Accies and former club Dundee, the 24-year-old attacker is due to return to the fold in Perth this weekend.
Boyle scored in his only league outing so far this term as Hibs kicked off their Premiership campaign with a 3-1 win over Partick Thistle and will be in contention for a return to the starting line-up as Neil Lennon’s team look to get back on the victory trail after back-to-back games without a win before the international break.
Meanwhile, Hibs Under-20s face their Aberdeen counterparts at Glebe Park in the SPFL Development League at 6pm today.
