Hibs skipper Liam Craig has been hit with a one-match ban after picking up his sixth booking of the season, the News can reveal today.
However, the midfielder will be available for the crunch clash against Rangers at Ibrox a week on Friday as the two clubs battle it out for second place in the Championship table.
Under SFA rules, suspensions kick in a fortnight after a player breaches the disciplinary limit but, with the match in Govan having been brought forward 24 hours to accommodate the television cameras, the 28-year-old will be available to head coach Alan Stubbs, as he will be for this weekend’s Scottish Cup tie against Arbroath.
Craig, however, will be annoyed with his latest yellow card which came two minutes into added on time against Raith Rovers, the former Falkirk and St Johnstone player having been deemed guilty of a foul on Christian Nade.
Craig will serve his one-match ban when Dumbarton visit Hibs on Saturday, February 21.
