Sauchie 3

Linlithgow Rose 1

Sauchie emerged with a deserved victory against a lacklustre Linlithgow. Sauchie should have been ahead early in the match as a result of slack Linlithgow defending before taking the lead on 17 minutes when Millar found space on the left to cross and Diack angled the ball past a helpless Adams. Linlithgow pulled themselves level three minutes from half-time when Kelly rose to head home from 12 yards but Millar set up Morgan to restore Sauchie’s lead on 44 minutes. Linlithgow enjoyed plenty of possession but lacked a cutting edge and Tully took advantage of an Ally Adams howler to seal victory for the home side with eight minutes remaining.

FIFE & LOTHIANS CUP 3RD ROUND

Dundonald Bluebell 1

Bonnyrigg Rose 2

A much changed Rose overcame a tough stubborn side on a difficult pitch with a strong wind making good football difficult. Rose were the better team in the first half and Scott Gray sent them in at half-time a goal to the good. Bluebell stuck to their task and were rewarded when Calum Young equalised in 70 minutes. Rose used all three substitutes and this move paid off when Kieron McGachie headed the winner with 14 minutes to play.
