Former Livingston captain Jason Talbot has ended his seven-year stay in West Lothian after signing a one-year deal with Dunfermline.
The 29-year-old Englishman has become new manager Allan Johnston’s first summer signing and will return to the Energy Assets Arena when the Pars travel to face the Lions in a pre-season friendly on Saturday, July 11.
The left back made more than 200 appearances for Livi since joining from Port Vale in July 2008 and won back-to-league titles as well as last season’s Petrofac Training Cup. However, like the vast majority of Livingston’s squad, his contract expired on May 31 with the club’s registration embargo still in place.
